HOW MANY LANGUAGES ARE THERE?
Todos sabemos que existen muchos más idiomas de los que solemos escuchar a nuestro alrededor, pero ¿sabes cuántos idiomas existen a día de hoy? Pues bien, hoy en día existen entorno a 7097 idiomas distintos, ¡7097! Y si contamos que según la ONU hay 193 países oficiales, nos salen unas ¡37! lenguas por país! Como podéis imaginar no todos los países tienen 37 idiomas. Corea del Norte, por ejemplo, tiene solo un idioma, por el contrario tenemos Papúa Nueva Guinea que tiene nada más y nada menos que… ¡850!

TOP 7 COUNTRIES WITH MOST LANGUAGES
The most curious thing is that of the 7097 that have been recognized, about half of them are divided into only 7 countries:
- The country in which they have been most recognized is Papua New Guinea with about 850 languages.
- The second country in which they have been detected the most is Indonesia with about 700 languages.
- It is followed by Nigeria with 526 languages.
- The fourth is India with 454 languages.
- United States is close to India with 422 languages.
- China and Mexico are the following in the list with about 300 each.

Me gustaría también hacer un poco de reflexión y dar mi opinión, y es que, el tener un idioma que nos permitiera comunicarnos con el resto del mundo nos daría muchísimas ventajas. También quiero añadir que, cada letra y cada palabra que se ha inventado a lo largo de nuestra historia, guarda parte de nuestra cultura, del conocimiento adquirido a lo largo de los años y eso, a mi parecer, es importante conservarlo.
